Sowilo is the 16th rune in the Elder Futhark. It is phonetically, “S.” It is the 8th and last rune in Heimdal’s Aett.
Sowilo is the sun rune. It is the light or path of the gods. This may be looked at as the holiest run, because where there is no sun, there is death.
Sunna is the goddess connected to Sowilo. The Norse would go for a long time with no light in winter. When the sun would come back it would give back life, and new growth.
Old Icelandic:
Sun is the shield of the sky
and shining ray
and destroyer of ice.
Anglo-Saxon:
The sun to the seamen is joy on high
when they journey away over the fishes’ bath,
until the sea-horse of the deep brings them to land.

This is one of the ones you want face up. It’s almost always a good thing.

Joejoes update: Sowilo was a much better month. I now have a new job, and I just updated my RHCE. I also had a abnormal amount of things break this month(bubbler, AC, Car, and some other things) . So many that it could not be a coincidence. I am not fully sure how Sowilo effects this. I just know there was an effect. I may had aided in having the strength stand firm on this things.
